It was yesterday when I was talking to a manger in Bareeq Al Shatti, that he told me about these boxes.
Basically people can drop off any books they have at home and don't need them anymore. Other people can then come and buy some of these books that they need at a lower cost (around 1-3 OMR)! Imagine how people, especially those who's financial status isn't very high, can purchase these book and learn from them. Plus all the collected money will be given to charity, 100%.
Isn't that just great?:D
The manager also said they get GREAT BOOKS! There was this book donated that was 170 years old, imagine.
Reusing books is part of saving the environment as you guys know, so lets all put our hands together and do something small for a big result :D
So now it is your turn to collect all the books you have at home that are not needed, and donate them, 1.for charity, and 2.so other people can benefit from them :)
