Welsh Society's Day Cruise

Whatever your age, now’s the chance to find your sea legs as the Beach Sailing Events are launched at the weekend in Sohar, before moving to Sur next month and Muscat in December. Qualified sailing instructors will be on hand to take enthusiasts out sailing on Bahia and Vision boats, with a range of watersports and a children’s area with a bouncy castle, face painting and beach games daily from 10am to 5.30pm.

This will be ongoing from Friday 4th October 2013 - Saturday 26th October 2013

Saleh Al Shukairi Exhibition

Art is necessary in our lives, and the Centre Franco-Omanais (CFO) is starting its new season of exhibitions with Saleh Al Shukairi’s stunning calligraphy-inspired paintings!! It will continue until the end of the month, 31st October 2013.

A Peace Talk

You might not know there is a UN International Day of Non-Violence but The Rajyoga Centre for Self Development is celebrating it with a special event at the Ministry of Education Auditorium, Watayya, Qurum Heights at 7 PM, today Wednesday 2nd October 2013.

The keynote speaker, Sister Jayanti, European Representative to the UN in Geneva for the Brahma Kumaris World Spirituality University, has been working for non-violence for most of her life.

TEDxMuscat is back!!!

So! As for the first event happening in our city M-town, TEDxMuscat is back!!!!

The independently produced event that was first held in Oman in 2011 will be held at Bait Al Zubair Museum tomorrow Wednesday 2nd October 2013, connecting people, fostering learning and inspiration, encouraging conversations that could change attitudes, lives and eventually, the world. Keeping TEDx’s spirit of ‘ideas worth spreading’, the Muscat event will feature live speakers and TEDTalks videos that will ignite profound discussion. Speakers to be announced.
